Dr. Tim Husen is the Technical Services Representative for BASF Professional & Specialty Solutions covering the Southeast US. In this role, Tim supports BASF’s innovation and product launch platforms, as well as providing direct support to BASF Professional and Specialty Solutions sales and marketing teams. Tim began his career in operational pest control at Waltham Services where he developed and directed technical and training operations and managed quality control procedures, personnel and reporting. Prior to joining BASF, Tim worked as a Technical Service Manager for Rollins Inc. where he provided a wide variety of technical support and guidance across the company including Operations, Marketing, and Training based out of Rollins Corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA.  Dr. Husen is a subject matter expert on insect and rodent pest control tactics, products, and equipment with 18 years of experience in entomology and structural pest management. He is a board certified urban and industrial entomologist with 20 scientific or extension publications and numerous presentations at scientific and pest management-related events. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences, a Master’s degree in entomology, and a Ph.D. in entomology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Mr. Nolan started with the family business, TCI, in 1978, handling the general office. From 1979-1989, he worked adjusting all types of property & casualty claims throughout the Southeast US. During that time, he was introduced to pest control related damage claims. After another company aquired TCI, he opened an office in Charleston to handle to entire state. After Hugo in 1989, he was responsible for handling or supervising thousands of claims, many of which were related to termites or another WDO's. Nolan & Company was started in 1996 wit ha primary focus on the pest control industry. He developed Pest Control Claims Systems (PCCS) to educated adjusters and the pest control industry how to investigate, evaluate and resolve all types of claims. Over the past 23 years, he has handles thousands of  pest control related claims all over the US with some demands of tens of millions of dollars.

Ryan Okey graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelors in Turfgrass Science and a Masters in Agricultural Education. Ryan started working for the Department of Pesticide Regulation in 2003 as a Field Investigator covering Dorchester County, Colleton County, and North Charleston. He currently serves as the Assistant Director for the Department. In that role, he oversees the Department’s field operations, enforcement decisions and actions, and termiticide registrations in South Carolina. Ryan is also the lead Regulatory Instructor for the ATT, MTT, and WIR workshops. He is serving a 2-year term as an At-Large Board Member for the Association of Structural Pest Control Regulatory Officials and is a member of ASPCRO’s Termiticide Label Review Committee, Structural Fumigation Committee, and Building Codes Committee.

Dr. Benson received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Vermont in 1979 and his master’s degree in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1984 and his Ph.D. in entomology from Clemson in 1988. He has worked in research and development for Ciba-Geigy (Syngenta) in Switzerland and Dow (Corteva) Chemical. After working as an Extension Entomologist at Auburn University he returned to Clemson in 1997. He had responsibilities for research and education programs concerning household and structural pests in South Carolina. After serving Clemson University for 31 years, Dr. Benson retired this past June, but has returned to Clemson on a part time basis to continue to serve the pest control industry with training programs and technical services. 
When he is not chasing bugs, Eric enjoys hiking with his wife, walking his dogs and expanding a tree house he has built for his grand kids.
